  • Traveling for the most part makes everyone sleepy. When we flew with a baby she was closer to four months old. She slept and nursed mainly the whole flight, we took a pack n play, baby bjorn and a stroller because the car we were using had carseats available. I would bring rattles and picture books for the times the baby is awake. Most babies are lap seats do not get seperate luggage allowance. So the more you bring for baby the less you have. See who has what available for you to borrow at your destinantion

  • i took my son flying at 6 months, and i didn't need much. just get a small backpack, you can put a couple of books and favorite toys in there. also, don't forget bottles, with no water, and formula if you're FF. if you bring Formula, make sure it's unopened. i've found the Enfamil travel packs are awsome. make sure you get water after you go through security, and it's enough time between when you buy it and your LO's feeding time so it's not too cold. if your LO takes a binky, that's great so that while you're taking off and landing, it helps with the pressure on his ears. if not, then try to make it so that feeding time is take off time, so he can suck on something.

  • Cont- my son slept the majority of the flights, the hum of the plane lulled him to sleep. and the flight attendant was great, i had him in my lap, and they gave me a seat next to an empty one so he could lay in it. oh, if you have a layover, a small umbrella stroller is GREAT. i traveled without a stroller one time and i ssoo regretted it. • make sure if you are traveling with a carseat, that its airline approved, because there are some carseats that they wont allow on a plane. Take lots of paci's and sugarfree suckers, it helps baby suck and that helps to keep ears popping.

  • Just remember that if you do bring a carseat, you will have to check it either at the ticket window or the gate unless you have a bought your baby their own seat.
