Can I take Ibuprofen while breast feeding?

I know Tylenol is safe, but I took it earlier for my headache and it didn't help.

  • Call and ask your OB or pediatrician. Better safe than sorry.

  • I was told to. I had some medical problems after I had my daughter and they told me I could pretty much take as much Ib as I wanted, but if I wanted something stronger I would have to stop BFing. So I stuck it out with the Ib.

  • You can take nearly everything (including anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, antibiotics, etc.) while breastfeeding. It's very hard to find something you cant take infact.
