varcella vaccine while pregnant?

is it safe? were required to have one for school...and if its not, i dont know if im supposed to stay home, idk?

  • Have you had Chicken Pox? If you have had it you can get a titer, where they draw your blood to see if you are immune from certain illnesses. Not sure if you can do it for Chicken Pox but, it will keep you from having to get any vaccines while your pregnant.

  • i wouldnt get any vaccines while pregnant. you dont need it for school.

  • what you can do is have the dr's office draw up a titer (sp?) to see if you have the antibodies. i did that bc i knew i had chicken pox and then i didn't have to get the vaccine. i was pregnant too when i had to do this.

  • we need it to go to 11th grade. they check every 5 or 6 years to make sure your up to date..ive never had chicken pox and i got the first varcella vaccine before i was pregnant..but we need one or we cant go to school...

  • Get something from your doctor saying you can't get it until after the baby is born. I wouldn't get any vaccines while pregnant.
