Nephew has a bad ear infection...

Does anyone know any at home remedies to help? He's got a fever of 103.5 and super cranky.

  • Anyone nursing? Put breastmilk in the ear.

  • Heating pad on the ear REALLY helps take away the pain. Of course tylenol or motrin (if he is old enough.

  • we use garlic oil. you can get it from a health food store . it works  a pain med with it.

  • Lightly warmed olive oil in his ear.

    When my kids were younger and their ears hurt, they would actually ask for this.

  • when my kids had ear infections I would give them pain meds (if they had pain) and then I would put a warm, wet washcloth over the ear. The moist heat seemed to help. I also pushed liquids, gave lukewarm baths, and dressed them in light clothing to help reduce the fever. I hope he feels better soon!!
