Does sea water cause sleepiness? I went to the beach today, and now I feel very tired.

  • I would say it's the combination of sun, water and sand. I always ended up faling asleep when I was on my towel after swimming.

  • Water and Swimming are just generally exhausting for your body. It's rare that our body is used to that type of resistance with every move.

  • I agree. It's the combo of the sun, heat and water. It doesn't have to be seawater to make you sleepy.

  • Sun and water are very draining. Swimming is good exercise, and you burn a lot of energy and the sun is just draining, so the combo all day really wipes ya out. I love that feeling though. :)

  • The sun drains me really badly. Plus if you were swimming you were using a lot of energy up. Drink a big glass of water to combat any dehydration from the heat and go to bed :)
