Video Games... AH!

My husband plays video games, and it usually doesn't bug me. Usually he just plays a little every now and then. He was sick last week and this week and has been playing like 20 hrs a day, no joke... It drives me nuts. Its like an inconvenience for him to do anything else. I have a feeling when he goes back to work, he will go back to normal, but if not I may have to start playing just to "destroy" him.

He would get on right after he wakes up and plays for hour or two then he off the computer and back on again. I hardly on during the day when im on it after my son is in bed im on for a an hour or so. But then im off to bed .then he would be right back on it I know he is. My DH loves playing the xbox games as well he used to play day in and day out if I allow it. there are times I just wanted to chuck everything out there was few times I stand in front of the tv while he playing a game I flashed my hookers at him he didn't say anything just moved his head to the side so he can play his game I got so mad I cut him off from sex for a month and not tlaking to him.

  • I tried playing with my DH a few times. No more. Even the games that I play for a while before he does, he ends up beating me in anyway. But there are a few good ones that we play as a team and it's fun.

  • LOl I love playing video games with my hubby, I"m pretty much just as good as he is, he's a little better. But he knows that he can't play them in excess. Or I will hide them! LOL

  • I've played games online with guys, but nothing really new or modern - just games like scrabble. What games do you guys play with your husbands on the computer?

  • I agree, try some multiplayer games where you can team up against the computer opponents or even other people.. it's a good way to put your competitiveness to work for both of you, and you might have some fun together :D

    A recommendation;
    A smart strategic warfare/management game that has enough content for both of us to enjoy is Sid Meiyer's Civilization IV. It's turn based so you can play at your leisure, and the permanent alliance option lets you literally team up with your hubby, sharing troops, research costs, etc. If you're not into fighting games you can still help him culturally, religiously, or diplomatically to win the game :)

    There are also tons of MMRPGs out there where you can create a character and watch your hubby's back, or create characters that compliment each other in skills so that you can work together to help eachother when you're both online.

  • Yuck. I cannot believe these answers... LOL. Its a stupid game with wizards and trolls... I have played Resistance with him... thats a cool game... this one is so stupid. I am not going to do that. We have plenty of other activities together... I am trying to get him to slow down... not encouraging it!
