  • i hardly ever cry, but i'm not afraid to do it in front of my dd. there is nothing to be ashamed of, and i want her to know that everyone, even grown ups, cry.

  • Absolutely. Crying is normal and natural and children shouldn't be taught to be ashamed of their tears or their feelings of sadness.

  • well, my son is 2-1/2 and I have recently 2 times... he said "mommy, its ok, wipe your tears now" and almost started crying, I am not ashamed of crying, however, I am going to try not to cry over personal things in front of him - he shouldn't have to worry about his mommy.

  • Of course. And there are times when we cry together. We're a family.

  • The last time I did was when I took them to my mother's grave. It was incredibly emotional.
