  • We didn't get teeth until 11 months but she was gnawing a lot of solids to death by that time. Yes she can have yogurt. just like any other food, give new ones to them 1 at a time so that you can tell if they have a reaction to them. Space new foods out 3 days apart.

  • Perfectly normal....I have one girlfriend who's daughter is almost 10 months with none...even the dentist told her some could even be 1 yr old before they get their first tooth.

  • I have always been told by pediatricians and pediatric dentists that the later the teeth come in, the healthier.

  • Mine only had the tiniest part of her two bottom teeth until almost eleven months old, and even those little nubs came in really late. lol. I would hold off on milk products, but b/c my daughter has severe milk allergies. I found out when she was 9 months old and let her try yogurt for the first time. She broke out in instant hives and I was so scared her throat would swell.

Her pedi insisted I try to fatten her up with new foods, but her allergist later told me that it is best to hold off on all dairy products until at least a year.

  • yogurt is good to help prevent diaper rashes when they are on antibiotics. when DD was on antibiotic I was told any yogurt was okay (baby or adult).

  • I would not worry about the teeth far as the yogurt...I probably would not give her regular yet.

  • sure. if your worried give her hard stuff like pizzza crust to chew on. my kids have been eating real food since they were a month old. i made my own baby food. what i ate they ate too. six months old and eating cornbeef at six months and loving it! my kids ate ice cream at six weeks. just watch her when introducing her to knew foods. but thats even with store bought baby foods.
