Last question of the day - looking for green bean recipes ....

  • Steam the fresh green beans for 10-15 minutes, drain, add 2T olive oil, add beans back to the pan, add 1T crushed garlic, saute for about 5 minutes, add whole cherry or grape tomatoes and cook on low for 5 minutes.

  • Three Bean Salad
    1 can (15 to 16 ounces) cut green beans, drained
    1 can (15 to 16 ounces) cut yellow beans, drained
    1 can (about 16 ounces) red kidney beans, drained
    1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
    1 cup sliced purple onion
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon pepper
    Rinse and drain beans. Combine beans, green pepper, and sliced onion. whisk together remaining ingredients; pour over bean mixture. Toss three bean salad well and chill for at least 4 hours. Store three bean salad in refrigerator.

    This is awesome, but, you don't have to make them bundles...you can pour the beans in the casserole and cut the bacon in bite sized pieces and scatter them over the top.

  • Put the beans in pot with a little water and stir in chopped (or not) bacon or ham pieces, cook until the bacon and beans are done.

  • Fresh? Canned? Frozen? We usually just eat them straight or mix into a hotdish. The only "recipe" I use is for green bean casserole, and even than I just wing.

    Cream of Mushroom Soup, French Onions, Green Beans baked in a dish.
