The NAACP issued a statement aboit Ms Sherrod...do you agree?

http://www.naacp.org/press/entry/naacp-statement-on-the-resignation-of-shirley-sherrod1/

"With regard to the initial media coverage of the resignation of USDA Official Shirley Sherrod, we have come to the conclusion we were snookered by Fox News and Tea Party Activist Andrew Breitbart into believing she had harmed white farmers because of racial bias," a new statement from Jealous released on Tuesday night said.

"Having reviewed the full tape, spoken to Ms. Sherrod, and most importantly heard the testimony of the white farmers mentioned in this story, we now believe the organization that edited the documents did so with the intention of deceiving millions of Americans," the statement added.

The NAACP statement called for Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to reconsider his decision to fire Sherrod,

  • You should be mad at Fox (news). They aren't really news. They are like pro wrestling pure entertainment. Fiction. I also think they jumped the gun. If they didn't jump the gun that also would have got all of you fired up. You can't win here

  • So the NAACP jumped the gun in condemning a woman without getting all the evidence? Interesting.

Also interesting Ms. Sherrod blames NAACP for her firing, not Fox.

  • Sweet
We know which side of the fence you are on. but please.
The audience was laughing at Sherrod's racist remarks, yet they don't tolerate racism?
Sherrod stated her firing came from the WH today on live TV on CNN. Not fox, CNN.
    C'mon......

  • The NAACP has a zero tolerance policy against racial discrimination, whether practiced by blacks, whites, or any other group,"
    --------
    Yeah, right.

And just what did FOX do, that has YOU so riled up, Sweet? And the woman was speaking at an NAACP function! How did THEY not know all that she said? What ever happened to a discussion about things before demanding a resignation, you know, one of those "Can you explain this?" "Do you have anything to say in your defense?" meetings to determine your fate with the company? She is being used, and you are saying it is FOX who did this?? The ones full of shit are those at the NAACP who kept their mouths shut, and let this go on, let this woman be railroaded, as well as those at the WH who work hand in hand with the NAACP to keep the pot stirred up.

  • No, I don't agree. They should have done their due diligence BEFORE hanging her out to dry in their attempts to look innocent of the crimes they are accusing others of. They were all to quick and happy to lambaste her when it suited their purpose.  They're just as bad as any other group, including FOX, that jumped to conclusions based on part of the video.

  • NAACP is just trying to win a popularity contest. They are stupid and superficial. The whole thing is a contradiction which is trying to save face!

The NAACP has a zero tolerance policy against racial discrimination. Um really? Why all the hoots and cheers when she was on camera saying what happened in the past? Also, if she did such racist things in the past, that would fall under zero tolerance right?

  • I think it is a deflection on other things that are going on right now in DC.
You know the whole "pay no attention to the man behind the mirror" aspect.
What's going on in DC today ladies, and why aren't we paying attention to it anymore?
Because someone handed you a hot and heavy story to occupy your mind.
Pure planned deflection, 105 days prior to the election and the same day as the unemployment bill goes through the Senate
