Once yesterday and once today my 7 year old daughter has come up and planted big kisses on my lips. She has never done this before and I find it a little strange. Is this strange to you to?

  • We always kiss our kids on the lips, so it's not strange to me. If your family isn't kissy-kissy like this, it probably would be strange! Maybe she's wanting you all to be more affectionate with each other.

  • Not strange..happens all the time at my house. Do you not kiss your kids on the lips generally? Is that what makes it odd? I know some people don't, we always have.

  • My kids are still younger, but we are very kissy and I hope they will be forever or at least a very long time to come! It's a precious time.

  • No. I kiss our 9 year old daughter on the lips... and our 1 year old son. My husband does as well. I also still peck my father and mother on the lips. Not strange at all.

  • That would not be strange in our family. If your family doesn't kiss on the lips, maybe your dd saw one of her friends kiss their parent on the lips.
