  • Absolutely not. People should have to earn what they get. Otherwise, what is the point in even trying? I for one don't want to live in a world where no one gives a damn about what they do because they will get so much money, food etc no matter what. I am a firm believer in making your own way in life. That is where good values and true satisfaction come from.

  • LOL, anon!

Classless society won't work. Someone is always more more intelligent, stronger, harder-working, more talented. In order to be classless, you have to reduce the entire population to the lowest common denominator.

  • Depends on how you define it. There are plenty of classless women here on CM. LOL!

  • I don't think so. People are different. Some might say it's not fair that some people get to be born to parents with money and influence. But, I say, so what? Some people are born beautiful, and some are born ugly. Some are born healthy and some are born with terrible disabilities or illness. Some are born geniuses and some struggle to balance a basic budget. Some can sing and some cannot. Some are amazing athletes and others trip over their own feel. Some sail through life with nary a concern, and some have awful accidents. Life isn't fair. That's part of the charm of life.

  • no, we could not. Even if everyone had the exact same amount of everything, there would still be social classes.

Answer by lovinangels at 10:29 AM on Jul. 21, 2010

  • No, as a pp said, you would have to reduce everyone to the lowest common denominator. There would still be someone "in charge" and that someone would mean the society wasn't classless after all.
