Inducing labor? adult content

I just read about this in an answer to another question. Anyways my question is, can swallowing "cum" induce labor? She even said "ingesting those prostaglandins is apparently more effective that topical application!!" Ive never heard about this before so I am just curious.

  • Semen "applied" to the cervix is the most effective method, although taking cervical ripening agents orally has been said to help, as in the case of EPO (evening primrose oil) but there are no studies that say one way or another is it is truly effective.

I'd say no to the oral dosage personally :P

  • have your dr sweep your membranes I had this done and went into labor the next day. it is a bit uncomfortable but totally worth it. they will only do it if you are past 36-38 weeks and dialated a little bit.. i was at 1cm and 50% for like 3 1/2 weeks until i was 38 weeks and my dr finally suggested this to get thing moving because i had been having irregular contractions for weeks.
