Is it just when you turn 30 and over?

Since I first turned 30 I have felt as if I needed a nap everyday.

The energizer has one over on me.

Now I am pushing past my mid 30's and I am finding it harder

to push that NAP away..

How about all of you?

  • I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't need a nap. I'm not 30 yet, but even when I was single and w/o kids, I always needed at least a small nap through the day.

  • I'm over 30 and I don't nap at all.

  • No..if you are that tired it is a byproduct of your lifestyle and diet. Children are very resilient to dietary and lifestyle choices thrown upon them by parents and thats why they can run about after a heavy meal - but as we get older we become less resilient and it all catches up with us.

  • Of course napping is good though...especially if you are keeping up with a 5 year old :)

I enjoy taking naps with my 2 and a half year when he has kept me up all night from hogging the entire bed with his dad!

  • I'm only almost 27 and have felt I needed a nap for the last 5 years. I think it's more of a life thing than an age thing. :-)

  • Very true.. I just know that before 30 I have so much energy I could do it all.

Then when I hit about 31 I just crashed... lol
3 kids can really wear on you ... and those that have more ... I commend you.

  • Must be nice ... I go to the gym and feel more tired afterward. That's after 2 hours in a gym.
I want all your energy.. lol

  • I go through my spurts. I'm 33. I have noticed a difference on how I feel after I hit 30. Maybe look into some vitamins. Have doctor check the thyroid and maybe even your iron levels.

Answer by kimberlyinberea at 1:34 PM on Jul. 21, 2010

  • Did the thyroid check .. all clear.. clean bill of health and losing weight .. :)

Iron is always a problem They can't seem to get why even when I take iron it's still low.

I know I need vitamins but ... I'm still working on that. Thanks good advice though ...
Sometimes I think advocating for my autistic daughter for 16 yrs caught up to me a bit... and now my middle childs adhd..
Plus my busy 5 yr old the want to go and go...

to boot I take a med that kind of makes ya tired through the day.
