  • When she first sat up on her own: around 6-7 months or so

When she said her first word: about 4 months or so (and hasn't shut up since!)

When she first started drinking from a sippy: around 8 months or so.

  • Sat Up on their own - 8-9 months.
Said their first word - "Dadda" was said at 8-9 months for both kids, but my son started saying more then that at one year old.
Sippy cup for my son was one year old. My daughter will be soon, she's 9 months now.

  • My first got to a sitting position on his own at 10 months; my second at 7 months.

My first was about 14-15 months when he said his first word ("milk" which sounded more like "muh"); my second was maybe 7-8 months ("dada").

I started offering my first a sippy at 6 months, but he never took it, so we finally tried a straw sippy around 13-14 months that he took; my second went straight to a straw cup just fine at about 9-10 months.

  • sat without assistance, 4 months. sat herself up with no assistance, right at 6 months.

Sippy cup, she'll use one now and then, first time at about 4 months.

She's not talking yet, but she's only 6 and a half months.

  • Oh good grief, I have 5 kids and I don't remember when the 4 older kids did all this, so I'll just do my 3.5 yr old DD:

How old was your baby when he or she sat up on their own? 9 months

How old when they said their first word? 6 or 7 months

When did you first start letting your baby drink from a sippy cup? 6 months

  • I have 4 kids. They sat up between 5-7 months. I introduced the sippy cup w/ water at six months when the started solids. Some took a little longer to catch on than others. As for first word, my oldest was 10 months, my second was 11 months, my third was 12 months... my fourth is only 7months and no words yet.
