If you get hit in the belly at 9 months pregnant......

Can it break your water? My 2 year old is always jumping on me, using my belly for leverage and falls on me.

  • I am not sure.. I wouldn't think so unless it is so hard it knocks the wind out of you.
If you are concerned I would ask the doc or nurse about it.
It just doesn't seem like anything to worry about though. :)

  • Hmmm...I don't think I'd let him do that. It probably WON'T break your water but it could cause the placenta to seperate.

  • maybe you should allow your daughter to do that just to be safe

  • Probably not. I would try to keep the 2 y/o from being too rough. But also remember... people have been doing this pregnancy thing for thousands of years. If having one child was too much work for a pregnant woman to undertake, there'd be a LOT more only children!

  • I don't think it could unless it was so hard it really knocked you over. I bet it feels pretty uncomfortable, though! : ( I hate it when my son jumps onto my 7 months prego belly.

  • My DD was almost two when DS was born. She would do that and I had no problems. It probly will not do much to the baby, but I don't know for sure. I would try to stop or reduce it until after the baby comes.
