How do you make hummus?

I see recipes with tahini, red onion, roasted garlic, etc but every recipe is so different.

I would like to make a basic hummus tonight. Any ideas?

  • Basic Hummus is chick peas (1 can drained) smoothed in a food processor. Add 2 tbs olive oil, 1 tbs minced garlic, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, and 1 tsp tahini. Add a few tbs water to help smooth it out. You can add more or less of anything to taste - then add anything additional you want.

    I'm pretty sure this is a vegan-friendly food.

  • soy beans or chickpeas and add your favorites like veggies and lemon/lime juice.

  • I used chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. my sister hated it. LOL
