Who is your favorite author?

I love to read and enjoy a good book. I prefer books that are written from a Christian viewpoint. Does anyone have an author whose work you really enjoy reading?

  • It's almost impossible to pick! Maybe Tolkien. Not obviously Christian, but as a devout Catholic, it's interesting to see the influences of his religion on his writing. From the creation poem at the beginning of The Silmarillion to the psalm-like praises at the end of the LOTR, it's all there to be found. I love reading!

  • I depends on the genre that I am reading.... For the mystery/detective in me I would have to say David Balducci or Michael Connelly. I also enjoy Ellen Dugan for her garden and herbal wisdom.

  • Og Mandino writes a great christian based book The Christ Commission, is you have not read it. I am not of the Christian faith and I loved the book. Also Marjorie Holmes writes some good books in this same genre The Two from Galilee, and The Three from Galilee. However I do love Kim Harrison books, Jeaniene Frost books, and Richelle Meade books as well (these are in the Paranormal and Paranormal Romance genres).
