how do you time contractions?

is it from the start of one to the start of another or the end of one to the start of another?

  • You start timing at the beginning of one until the beginning of the next - that is how far apart they are. You should also try to time how long they last. So the contrax might be 5 minutes apart lasting 45 seconds, L&D or your Dr would probably like to know both.
