At what age do u think breastfeeding should stop?

I think 10 years old is to old to breast feed. That's just how i feel about that.

  • I think it should stop once milk is no longer necessary for the child. Experts agree that's at age 1. There are other ways to bond with a baby. You don't want them being made fun of or giving them problems later on (especially for boys.)

  • I know right. the lady that was saying her 10 year old is feeling on her still breast feed. To me that is just nasty on her part he can drink jug milk.

  • If you look at that poster's profile it says her son is 8, where in her question it says he is 10 so I am thinking it might just be a troll. Or at least I hope so, otherwise that poor boy is going to have some serious issues for the rest of his life.

  • Whenever mom & child are ready to quit for the most part. However, me personally, I wouldn't go past about 2.5. My DD self weaned at 18 months.

  • About 2yrs old, when your milk dries up, if its weird for you, your child weans his/herself whichever comes first
