My SIL's aunt is having a baby shower for my SIL and it is potluck, they will have hamburgers and hot dogs but want other people to bring appetizers and stuff.

  • It is just a potluck, being a baby shower makes no difference. Just take whatever you would bring to any other family get-together. I wouldn't take jello shots, but take a side dish or make punch....

  • basics like deviled eggs, potato salad, macaroni salad, and as aliishott2 said fruit salad or what about fruit slices with a dip, or veggie slices with a dip? a few bags of different chips, a cube of soda, a case of bottled water, or punch in a bowl for a more festive flair.

  • I'd probably bring some sliced fruit.

  • Strawberries and dip. This is always a hit at any bbq we have. Get a bunch of fresh strawberries, and for the dip, mix 1 jar of Marshmellow cream puff with a container of strawberry cream cheese. I usually make a lot, people love it, it goes FAST!

  • And even if there is going to be a cake you might want to serve some finger desserts with it too. Sometimes people like a variety there too.

  • If it's a should make pink potato salad. Just boil, peel and cut up the potatoes like usual, then add cut up beets and green pimiento stuffed olives....add the mayo and a little salt and pepper. It's delicious and you can't really taste the beets per se. I'm not a beet fan, but I love this salad!
