  • No it is NOT suppose to be his job... But when he campaigns across the nation that he needs (and signs into laww) $800 billion to ~among other spending~ create jobs, then he has assumed the responsibility.

  • A president cannot create jobs. He is not an employer. He can create an atmosphere were job creation and innovation grow. Where business owners feel secure in adding positions and expanding. An atmosphere were new businesses can be created.

Unfortunately, our current president isn't very good at that.

  • A president can create an environment were job growth flourishes. When business owners aren't worried about taxes and feel confident in the future, they hire new people. In turn, the newly hired have money to spend, which fuels the economy, which fuels the confidence of the population in general. Unfortunately, we don't have that right now.

  • No, but it is his responsibility to ensure that Americans can grow the economy themselves. It's his responsibility to NOT take his own ideals and push them onto a Country when they are not beneficial. Taxing businesses every which way like Obama is doing will slow that growth and send those businesses elsewhere. It's not the responsibility for Americans to make sure they do everything they can (including working for nothing)against all odds to make the economy better. There is nothing wrong with making a profit. That does come naturally when the economic and financial situations are productive.

  • I think it is his responsibility to ensure an economy that increases job growth and not create such a deficit that companies are forced to send production outside the U.S. or close their doors.

  • Yes, by federally funding the creation of schools and hospitals and by giving incentive to companies to keep their factories in our boarders.

  • NO! It's not the presidents job to do anything but set guidelines and laws for this country. It's the community who is supposed to be running this country. Remember "For the People BY the people"? That was said because the people, the community, the states were supposed to run the country. It's not like that anymore and Obama is making it worse. He's turning this into a government strong hold and I don't dig it at all.

  • No

  • No.

  • That's a loaded question.

The way it's written, no. I don't believe it it the presidents job to actually specifically create jobs. It his job to make sure that circumstances are optimal for unemployment to be as low as possible.
