Are you against your child learning another language?

We aren't but that's probably becasue we already speak Spanish at home.

  • Well all other countries learn a second and some a third language as part of their school curriculum, but they speak their countries language everywhere else (except maybe to keep the parents from knowing what they are saying LOL) so "this is an English speaking country" is a bunch of bull to me. Yes I feel that those who come here should learn English and speak it when in school and speaking with others, but learning another language is wonderful in my book. I personally took 4 years of French in high school and learned a little German while spending time there too and am now learning Spanish with my children. I am nowhere near fluent in any of them, but I can get by.

  • I would LOVE my children to learn more than one language. I am impressed with those who are able to master more than one language. I hope to be able to find a way to incorporate a second language into my home.
