  • We drink the tap water (with a Pur filter) because we can't afford to waste money on bottled water. You need some fluoride. I grew up on well water (no fluoride in it) and now have severe problems with my teeth because of it. This is just another post to freak people out.

  • the reason why the dr. or the WIC office asks you water source is because your baby needs some flouride. If you buy water at the store to use they want you to use that "nursery water" because it has added flouride in it like tap water. they added flouride to municipla tap water system to help improve dental health.

  • if everyone knew the true source of fluoride you would be horrified... the health of your teeth is established by diet - not fluoride. There is nothing wrong with purified or filtered water. I agree, never drink fluoridated water, to much causes more problems than not. the body must have water, and bottled water is a great source of getting water, if you live in an area that has great well water, chances are it is fluoridated. You cannot filter out the fluoride from well water - regardless of the filtration you have. that is why, if you have a low tolerance to fluoride, you should be drinking bottled water... you can research the different companies and the water they use. Most come from companies that bottle other products, so there water is usually the best because they use it for their products.
