  • Is she breastfed or formula fed? If breast, then the best thing to do is stop solids and just nurse. Also, I wouldn't give cereals, they are notoriously constipating. What and how much do you usually feed her?

  • Lifetimelove's information is good. Also, watch out for iron supplements and iron-fortified foods: the volume of iron (because they use crappy cheap iron that is hard to absorb) that needs to be in the food is extremely high, and few people can digest it at any age without nasty side effects.

  • Prunes, diluted prune juice and dark caro syrup in water always helped my kids

  • Apricots pears plums prunes
    fruit far superior than juice

as said, if breastfed nurse more frequently instead and cut back on solids. breastmilk has a built in laxative affect.

be sure it is constipation (hard, difficult to pass/painful. rather than just infrequent poop.

  • Karo is not recommended for infants, the company cannot verify the safety of the product in infants so they advise against it. What is her diet? What are her stools like? Approx how often does she move her bowels?

  • Oh if she's eating solids, try offering foods that are high in fiber.
