  • I've not heard that one before. Have you changed LO's diet in anyway?

  • The two are usuall not related. I have heard of excess saliva causing inflamed intestines, leading to diarrhea during teething but not constipation.

  • i took my son to the dr about a week ago and he wasnt constipated but was a lil harder than normal so my dr gave me some stool softeners and said it was probably bc he was teething or bc i started giving him more baby food. but i have heard that teething causes diarrhea so idk.

  • I don't believe these two things are related.

Constipation is usually related to a food issue, have you tried something new recently?

  • Formula causes constipation. Iron and some foods can cause constipation. If you are feeding rice cereal with iron and formula with iron your baby may be getting too much iron. Babies don't need rice cereal. It doesn't help them sleep and is hard to digest. Milk products including cheese can cause problems.
