  • I got mine washed out as a kid. It worked! It didn't make me sick and I learned to "clean" up my mouth. I have done it with my kids and will do it again if I need to.

  • Swearing isn't a bad thing here as long as they know where it is ok and where it is not. I will do the soap if I catch them lying though.

  • No, it's wrong. Soap has so many different chemicals. Not a good idea.

  • I only use all natural castile soap so I'm not worried about the chemicals. Probably not for swearing, I'd have to wash my own mouth out alot more. My nephew went thru a phase where when he wouldn't get what he wanted he'd say "I hate you!" Now he got his mouth washed out!

  • No I would never do that to my children.

  • I'm more afraid of my daughter wanting to wash my mouth out with soap. But really as long as she uses appropriate language when she's out I can tolerate a few bad words at home.

  • yes I do. For lying too.

  • Absolutely not!  I would never abuse my children.

  • Never! I don't care if what kind of soap it is. It could cause tummy upset, diareaha...soap no matter how natural is not meant to be swallowed. It can also cause choking and suffocating. I think there are much more adult and no violent ways of getting discipline across.
