Has everyone found the P & CE more peaceful since the changes? Do you think it will go back to being really nasty and rude once everyone has enough points to go anon?

  • I know you aren't talking about yourself here, Gertie. :-)

Well, she did say "never". People make the same typos and grammar errors no matter how they post, with or without anon, so we know some of them posted anon.

But these changes haven't changed anything - just shifted it. And they still won't give us any straight answers on what they consider an opinion vs an attack, so once they put those "new rules" in later this month or whenever they get around to it, it still won't matter.

  • Honestly, I think that the "trolls" who hide behind the anon button would have already raced to level 16 so that they can go back and hide the identity. I also think that the vote downs are a deterrent. So, I think for now, it will be a safe and more respectful place, not to say that occasionally, someone won't try to stir the pot.

  • The people who were rude before NEVER used the Anon ....and they are still rude. I see no change at all.

  • I think we should be able to see vote downs too. If I'm voting someone down - and I have done it - I don't have a problem with them knowing it was me.

I admit I have asked an anon question, and I've answered anon too. Not since the credit system, but before. Somethings are personal. There is some info that I don't want to share - such as personal finances, medical, etc.. My political opinions? Who cares?

  • I think it's great. I hate the anons because sometimes you can't keep track of who is saying what, I often found myself mixing two different anons, and then they would get all pissed. At least make them anon 1 and anon 2, etc!

I never post anon, I never have, because I want people to know it's me saying this stuff, I feel I present a consistent view. But I actually do not care if people post anon. What I don't like is blatant racism and bigotry, but flaming isn't that big of a deal. It's just the internet, after all. You people don't know me! (And if you did, you would LOVE me! lol)
