I cant figure out if this crib is recalled...

Its a simmons && Model Number 1735 97 143
I wanted to make sure it's okay bf my son uses it.
Its drop-side && it has the metal mattress holder.
Does anyone know?

  • No idea. I'm sorry. But I did just see on the news something about a new ban on cribs with drop sides. Here's what I found on CNN:

  • I don't know if it has specifically been recalled, but I do know that Salavation Army won't accept any cribs with a drop side. I found this out when I tried to donate a used crib. I wasn't able to find my specific crib on a recall list either.

  • From what I understand, all drop-side cribs are a big "no no" now. We threw away the one we used for my son and just bought a brand new stationary side crib for our daughter on the way.
