  • Usually a good factory is a better bet in terms of both money & benefits.

  • Most daycares or stores only pay minimum wage with a HS diploma starting out but they will usually pay more if you have experience or special skills.

  • your best bet is to start with a job you like and stay with it for a long time. be punctual and respectful and show them that you care about your job and the company. people like that are the ones who get raises and promotions. but everyone has to start somewhere.

  • Call centers around here all hire at $10+ an hour and have benefits...

Check Snagajob for what's local to you... There are usually a good bit of options. If you get in to a good restaurant as a server you'll usually make between $2.50 and $3 an hour plus tips - which at a good place can be $10 or more per table...

  • How about a waitress at a fancy restaurant. I hear some people make 200.00 a night in tips.

  • Do you want to consider childcare? It depends on your area, but around here (near DC) it is 10/hr up to 20/hr to do private childcare. Look at care.com and you can see what people offer/charge for childcare, houskeeeping, senior care, and pet care in your area. Sittercity.com is another website to look at. GL

  • Factory work or construction is good money. My husband has just a high school diploma and was making $50 an hour before he quit to do what he's doing now.
