How do you usually buy fruits and vegetables?

Normally we buy them canned from the store but I "prefer" buying them fresh. My grandparents used to have a farm and I miss that. Today we stopped at one of those stands on the side of the road and got some sweet corn, peaches and a melon. YUM!

  • most veggies I get frozen like corn, green beans, broccoli, etc.
I do buy lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, zucchini, and squash fresh though.

I buy mostly canned fruit though. And fresh bananas and apples.

  • I don't "buy" most of ours. We have a CSA share this year so we get a fresh box delivered every week.
The rest of what I need, I buy from a farmer's market once a week.

  • Fresh, frozen or canned. Whatever is available. Today, I bought strawberries, blueberries, carrots, cherries and gala apples at the store.

  • i buy the ones which comes only during season. After watching Food Inc I do not want to eat anything that is flown from other countries or off season ones. plus they are expensive and not fresh. However, cans are not bad at all coz they are made during the season.
