My baby is sick

Hey my daughter will be 2 months on aug 2nd since the time shes been born shes been super constipated! My dr had me try infant laxitives, juices pretty much everything! Nothing worked so for her to go we have to insert the tip of a qtip in her bottom or she wont go. She starts screaming when she has to go its so sad. Now my dr pretty much just tells me to let her cry. Now shes starting to barely go with inserting a qtip which that started 2 days ago all last night every bottle she spit up and all today as well and her temp is at 99. Were moving next weekend so we dont want to get a new dr or specialist until we move. But i just dont know what to do. My husband has reflux problems, epilepsy, one kidney failure and some other stuff wrong. I honestly dont know if i should take her to the er or what. Please help.

  • I'd see a specialist. If she's 2 months old and has always had this problem, it may be a number of different things. It could be Celiac Disease or even an allergy. I'd definitely have her looked at as soon as possible because the more you have to stimulate her, the more she will be come dependant on it and at this age, it could become permanent.

    Also, are the stools hard?

  • I'd say it's time for the ER. She's probably getting backed up and her digestive system is probably shutting down. If anything, they'll need to put her on an IV to make sure she is hydrated and they'll run a bunch of tests. Better safe than sorry Momma! Also, be persistent with the drs. Make them run every test in the book until they find out what is wrong. Sometimes they are known to say it's IBS or an allergy, but make them find out EXACTLY what is going on.
