  • The Republican party and the Democratic party are slowing merging into one. Both have lost their focus. The Republican party is worse, it has failed to follow their path, and look how badly they are doing.

Frankly, if you didn't know Obama was a Democrat, many of his policies and decisions look just like the previous Republican president. He campaigned against so much of Bush's policies, then turned around and embraced Bush's policies.

  • Libertarians are for individual freedom.

HCR and cap & trade are the antithesis of a Libertarian's core belief. Both step heavily on individual freedom.

Since both these reforms are backed by Liberals/Democrats, you can certainly say the most Liberals aren't supportive on individual freedom. (Unless it's highly regulated, LOL!)

  • Sweet,

I don't under stand how you can say any republican is racist.

They don't like Obama's white half either.

  • I'm always confused by people who self-identify as a group like liberal, and then try to insist they don't believe ANY of the things the group publicly stands for.

  • I'm a Libertarian who supports gay marriage. Most do. Not all, but most.

Just like every other political group, you will find individual beliefs will differ. I have yet to find a politician who mirrors my beliefs exactly. However, in the larger voting group, most liberals support more regulations, most Libertarians support less regulations.

Most Libertarians support legalized marijuana, some support legalization of all drugs.

  • There are Libertarians who lean conservative, and Libertarians who lean liberal.

No one requires us to be exactly alike, and as Libertarians, we support individual freedoms, such as not requiring everyone to be exactly alike. ;-)

  • So you see, Liberals and Libertarians are two very different groups - one likes government control (Liberal) and the other prefers individual freedom (Libertarian).

  • Sweet,

Then why do you want tax hikes and bigger government?

  • "most Liberals"

You must of missed this part in my answer, Sweet. I certainly wasn't answering for you, but when you look at voting records in Congress, you can see the pattern.
