  • I've heard mederma is great for existing scars. My two year old just had stitches removed and the nurses told me that for a fresh wound the best way to minimize scarring is to use vit. E oil everyday and sunscreen when you go out.

  • When using Vit. E be sure to cleanse the scar area before applying. It can trap bacteria or fungus on the skin. Do NOT rub it in. Just dab it on and leave it on for 4-6 hours. Wash it off after that time to make sure no germs are trapped again the skin. Usually twice a day application is used. It can take months to really see results. These were the instructions given to me by my Dermatologist..

  • Mederma. It's pricey, but it works great, imo.

  • vitamin E oil. it's sold at walmart in a tiny glass bottle, or a health food store. I used it on scars from surgeries and they are almost nonexistant. And you can put it under your eyes too for wrinkles and stuff.
