Is there a time limit to change your name after marriage

Ok so i got married june 12th 2010 and i was just wondering if theres a time limit on me changing my last name to my husbands last name

  • Nope. I was afraid of having to pay some type of fine for being "over due" or something.. But no one gave me any problems when i switched my stuff over 2yrs later.

  • You don't have to change your name ever. The only time you have to pay to change your name is if you get divorced and want your maiden name back after using your husband's name while you are married or if you change your name to something other then your maiden or married name. I didn't see any reason to change my name when I married.
