How much sugar/sweetner do you put in your sweet iced tea?

I am always curious how sweet other people like their tea. I've always loved mine super sweet tasting. I used to put 2-2/12 cups of sugar in a two quart pitcher. I switched to Splenda (well, generic Splenda, but same thing), and use about 1 1/2 cups of that with a half cup of real sugar. :-)

  • I put in about 2 cups for a gallon. My husband's grandmother use to make some really good, really sweet, sweet tea. One day while she was making it, I asked her how much sugar she put in. As she was on her 4th scoop (about 1 cup per scoop) of sugar she told me that she only puts about 1 cup in to a gallon. DH and I chuckled to ourselves.
