  • Nope just tells you when your about, or am ovulating. Depeding on if you have a period every 28 days or 32 itll be 14 or 16 days before your period. Then you have 12- 24 hours to play dirty and hope you got LUCKY

  • OPKs detect your LH levels, which is the hormone that stimulates ovulation. When your LH peaks, giving you a positive test line that's as dark as or darker than the control line, it means you're likely to ovulate in the next couple of days. So when you get a positive OPK, you're ideally in your most fertile time period, during which you have the best chance to conceive. However, you have to keep in mind that, first of all, it's possible for your body to prepare to ovulate (i.e., release LH, giving you a positive OPK) and then not actually ovulate for whatever reason, so they're not perfect, and secondly, even for a perfectly healthy, fertile couple, you only have a 25-33% chance of conception during any given cycle, so even timing things perfectly every month, it still might take you an average of 3-4 months to get pregnant.

  • They give you an idea when you will ovulate. so you could say they help to conceive

  • There pretty pricey, and unless you have an irregular cycle, you probably don't need to buy them. You can learn your own cycle by the way the discharge changes. When it's thin and clear and stringy you're ovulating. Plus, if you want a girl, you need to have sperm already there and waiting for your egg. It will likely take the same amount of time to conceive, whether you buy the kits of not. Best of Luck!
