  • My husband... We couldn't make ends meet, so his last resort was volunteering for active duty (he's in the Guard).

    He left yesterday for Afghanistan.

  • Apart from the lack of gas here in SC We havnt lost any of our investments. They are in stable markets. Even the hubby's pension fund. It went down only .012% that day the market lost 777.68 in 4 hours before it closed. Stable low risk is the way to go. Sure you have to save more, but when crap like is happening now in the markets happen our $ is still safe for the future.

  • There's a country song "Song of the South". It's true we are so poor we can't tell. The freezer is full, the cupboards are full, the gas tanks are full on the car the truck the 4 wheeler and the tractor. The animals and the kids are fed. But then again we never had the money to invest in anything. So we still have what we started with...not much.
