What can you substitute if you run out of washing detergent??

I dont know, dishwashing soap? shampoo? anything, or should i just wait, i'm car less, so i have to wait for my dh tonight to get me some. but i wanted to squeeze in a quick load today.

  • Shampoo or brake up a bar of the gel like soap. It does clean better than most detergents.

  • Dish liquid will do in a pinch. I'm considering making my own detergent, in the near future, from online recipe.

  • I've used dishwashing and shampoo when we've been on vacation after all clothes are just soiled from sweat.
