My kids want to be Alvin ad the chipmunks for halloween...any idea how to make some cheap costumes?

I know that long red, blue, and green shirts and a giant "A" and a pair of glasses...but I am not sure where to go to get the stuff and how I should do the giant "A"

  • Get an adult size turtle neck in that color, then just get some felt and cut out an A and tack or sew it on Alvin's turtleneck, those would be quite easy, good luck!

  • don't forget the red, blue, and green baseball caps! (funny how this goes around - my friends and I were Alvin and the Chipmunks many years ago in a talent show)

  • Use white felt and stitch it onto the shirt. Get Turtle necks in the colors...that are extra big...hang really long. Then play glasses at the dollar store, or the cheap prescription ones and take the lenses out.

    :) Dont forget the hats!
