naptime for a 2 year old!

my 2 year old just to always take regular naps every day ranging from about 1 hr to a hour and a half. the last two weeks she's completely stopped taking them. i plan to start today making her take one but i'm having a hard time figuring out what time is appropriate for a 2 year old to nap...any suggestions or thoughts on what time a 2 year old should be made to nap?

  • Mine is up six hours before naptime, he usually wakes up between 7-8 am so his nap is no later than 1-2 pm. He usually is down for a good two hours, so six hours after that he's in bed for the night ( between 9-10 pm), we start winding him down an hour before bed (bath, quiet time, books, poking me in the eye as I lay exhausted on his floor, that kinda stuff.)

  • My son is almost 3 and he naps from about 1-3pm. He has had the same nap schedule for over a year...

  • Soon after lunch is a good time. I wouldn't start it any later than 1:30 or any earlier than noon.

  • My son is 2-1/2 and even though he won't NAP anymore, we still make it down time or rest time around what was his nap time before he stopped taking them
