when you sleep

are you still sort of aware? when I'm sleeping, it's like I am aware of HOW I'm sleeping- kinda hard to explain, but I sorta jsut know if I'm on my side or my back or where my hands are...that sort of thing
very rarely am I so out of it that I'm just clueless!
did that make sense?

  • Makes you a light sleeper. Do you wake up feeling refreshed? If so, then that means you got enough REMS. As for me, when I'm out, I'm out cold and dead to the world.

  • I have become a pretty light sleeper. It is funny though, I can sleep through certain things, but if my son or my dog makes a peep it wakes me up. I generally feel like I am still pretty aware, ever since becoming a mom I have been this way.

  • Yea, I'm not like that either. Unless I'm just "almost" asleep or "almost" awake. Then I am.

  • I don't sleep like that either...I am not aware of a thing that is going on. That sounds as if you are not asleep all the way.

  • Idk exactly what you mean, but I have to wake up and change my sleeping position. I always wake up exactly have I've fallen asleep. My SO thinks that's BS, and he always gets so mad at me if I fall asleep with the baby latched on or sleeping beside me on her boppy pillow.

  • That did make sense. Some people never really fall into REM sleep or deep enough to where they are unaware of their surroundings. As for myself, I am soo asleep that I don't even know what's going on outside of my own imagination.

  • The only time I have a good sleep is my afternoon's one.
