i am currently breast feeding my baby boy and also pumping i try to pump every 2-3 hrs but not getting awhole lot of milk is there anything i can do to fix that

  • Are you pumping in between nursings or pumping instead of? Your son should be nursing every 2 hours (infant?), so he may be emptying you out.

  • FYI unless you are working or need to be away for an extended period pumping is unnecessary

    But if you need to pump for work watch this video to learn how to do it efficiently (BTW 1 ounce is excellent). http://newborns.stanford.edu/Breastfeeding/MaxProduction.html

  • it is a medela pump which works real well. i was doing good and now i am not getting enough out. I pump after he eats and then try to pump every 2 hrs. The reason why i started pumping was because if my husband gets up in the middle of the nite with our son then he can
    feed him.
