How much do you pay on average for childcare?

How much does the average babysitter/ daycare cost. I'm curious to find out what others pay around the country.

  • When I was looking (in upstate South Carolina, for 2 kids), most places, daycare centers and home daycares alike, wanted about $80-125 per kid per week. A couple of places would give a small discount for more than one kid, but $100 was about the average.
