Has anybody had their membranes stripped?

The midwife said if I dont have the baby by Friday she would strip my membranes, to help put me in labor. Does this work and if it does, How?

  • I've heard some of my friends swear it's the only thing that gets labor going.

You know how you get crampy during/after a physical exam? I think it's just a more aggressive form of that.
