  • I am 26 weeks and have been in a few times, but no longer than 10 minutes is what I was advised by my midwife.

  • According to the signs at hotels (at least ones I've been to) they say do not go in if you're pregnant. It's a bummer; I know!

  • maybe for just a few minutes. you can leave your feet in. it's just a matter of overheating. it can be dangerous.

  • I like to sit on the side with just my legs in, by the way. I have a lot of leg cramps and it helps.

  • Don't submerge your belly. What I would do was sit on the top step (if there is one) so that my legs and bum were in the water, but none of my belly. And if you start to feel overheated, get out right away.

  • According to my midwife it is the level of chemicals and high temperature in commercial hot tubs that is the problem. I personally spent quite a bit of time in OUR hot tub at home turned down to 99 degrees and with a much lower level of chemicals (but still safe level) then the hotel ones and never more then 15 minutes at a time. i also labored there until we went to the hospital. Personally though at some one elses house or hotel or something I would NEVER risk it except maybe put your legs in or something.
