Don't laugh.. But.. Do fruits and veggies have calories in them?

  • Yes they do. If you want a specific list of their nutritional values you can either look in the Joy of Cooking or perhaps google each particular fruit or veggie.

  • yes.... how many depends on what it is. example.... an average banana has 90 calories and 1 stalk of celery has about 3 calories. in general fruits have more calories than vegetables

  • Yes.

    Though I recall my nutrition professor saying that celery was a weird exception; it ends up having an average of -2 calories because it actually takes more energy to eat and digest than it can give you in the first place.
