  • Party at the beach, at a time like 3 when you can get away with just cake and ice cream.

  • What does she like? How many people are coming? Adults and kids?

You can do a party at a park and get a table to decorate. We did this for DS 5th birthday. They had covered tables that you don't have to reserve and decorated with my handmade decorations of comic book theme. We didn't do food, just cupcakes and drinks.

  • You can always take lunch to the park! She would probably LOVE that and then she can play at the playground too! Have a potluck with family, everyone brings their own meat to grill out? We do that all the time!

  • I agree, you can just do cake and ice cream, any three year old would be happy about that! :-)

  • For my DDs 3rd we got a pinata and she had a blast beating it up with the stick, her hands, and kicking it. We didn't have cake or ice cream. She picked out the pinata (a rainbow colored donkey for $8) a week before and toted it around with her and then on the big day she beat it up. Just don't forget to put in candy ;)

  • I agree, think about hosting it at a park. That completely cuts out entertainment costs because the kids will be playing on the play structures. Cake and drinks is plenty, you could put together little treat bags.

  • I think you should have it at your house because there if she gets tired she wont be overwhelmed with everyone in her face, you could make a couple games let her pick out her favorite movie to be playing, give the kids some cake and let them run free, Also you could go to a dollar store and get some cute and cheap decorations and decorate the house and let her help.

  • You could have it at the park. Usually they are free!

  • If you have a good sized yard you can do a water party-lots of sprinklers and water games-serve cake and ice cream or even add a watermelon. Instead of a goody bag, you can give each kid a small trinket from the Dollar Store- a pack of cute barretts or a headband-
kids just LOVE to play. Enjoy and have some fun!
