What is the unemployment rate where you live?

i live in Nevada - last I heard it was 14% - yuck!

  • Around 6.8% for white folks, double that for the "real" unemployment rate. Blacks and other people of color I heard it's more like 10%. that's teh Minneapolis/St Paul/Bloomington area, pop around 3 million

  • I just looked at the rates in MN since the 1970's and the unemployment rates were up around 8 and 9 percent in 1982, 1983 and 1984. But it was around 2 and 3 percent in the 1990's. So...who do you suppose was President during those years? Hmmmm?

  • Somewhere between 10.5% and 11.5%. However, in the surrounding counties, it is only 8%.

  • I believe here in AZ it is 19%, but don't quote me on that because I'm not positive. I am positive that's what it was in April because they showed it on the news.
