Does anyone know the best way to get rid of aphids on roses? Thank you.

I have 2 very pretty miniature roses.

  • I read somewhere that lady bugs are great for getting rid of aphids. They're the aphids natural preditor.

  • I had a really nice women share with me once...the best treatment for roses is a solution spray of water and ivory soap. Hope it helps.

  • Lady bugs is the most GREEN way... :)
    Otherwise, use a mild soap and water... dish soap or hand soap and water in a spray bottle.

  • ok you'll never believe this but it's true. Aphids are lactose intolerant.so i mix the same amount of each,water and milk into a spray bottle and spray a couple times a day. it not only gets rid of the aphids but makes the plant stronger by foliage feeding.

  • I've been doing the Ivory soap thing and a spray of 1/3 cup alcohol in a spray bottle filled with water. It works but I have to spray every day. I'm going to try the milk and water!
